Radiology Department Assistant - MRI

Position: Radiology Department Assistant, MRI. You will rotate among Bassetlaw Teaching Hospital, Doncaster Royal Infirmary and Mexborough Montagu Hospital, providing patient care and supporting radiographers and consultants.
Key Responsibilities
* Work with a team of motivated staff to provide a first‑class service to all patients attending Radiology.
* Carry out clinical support tasks as required by lead radiographers.
* Assist consultants and radiographers in the clinical environment when required.
* Perform reception, clerical and other support duties.
Qualifications & Experience
* GCSE English Language & Maths (Grade C or above) or equivalent, or NVQ Level 2 or equivalent experience.
* Care Certificate.
* Experience in a caring profession.
* Experience on a range of IT systems.
* Exposure to patients and the general public.
* Experience of Trust PAS computer system.
* Experience in a clinical or medical environment.
* Experience of clerical duties.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with multidisciplinary teams, patients and relatives.
* Good team player.
* Ability to deal with clients who have barriers to communication.
* Ability to maintain client confidentiality.
* Ability to deal sensitively and compassionately with patients, some of whom may have received bad news.
* Ability to accommodate the demands of the post with flexible working and good attendance.
* Prioritise workload.
* Travel independently to meet demands of the post.
* Ability to work with people at all levels to provide equality of care.
* Adaptable to a changing environment, able to cope with unpredictable workload.
* Work under pressure.
