As a Financial Controller, you will be:
* Overseeing the day-to-day running of the finance team, including direct reports
* Ensuring accurate and timely delivery of management and statutory accounts
* Leading the month-end and year-end close processes
* Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
* Driving continuous improvement of financial systems and internal controls
* Acting as a key business partner, providing insight to non-finance teams
* Liaising with external auditors, HMRC, and other stakeholders
* Mentoring and developing junior members of the finance team
To be successful in this Financial Controller role, you will ideally have:
* A recognised accountancy qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
* Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience in a similar role
* Confident leadership skills and a collaborative, hands-on approach
* Excellent communication abilities across all levels of a business
* A proactive mindset with strong attention to detail and commercial awareness
