As a Trading Services Associate within the Agency Securities Finance (ASF) team, you will play a pivotal role in the seamless execution of trade activities across the 39+ International Equity and Fixed Income and Cash Investment markets, to maximise lending opportunities for the mutual benefits of our underlying clients. This involves regular interaction with the global trading desks, Relationship Managers (RMs)/Client teams, operations teams as well as directly with the Broker community. We work closely with teams throughout the ASF business to help provide an excellent standard of service for all our clients, from order entry to settlement. While still developing, your expertise in market products and understanding of automation technologies will be instrumental in optimizing our trading services.

Job responsibilities

1. Support daily trading operations by ensuring timely execution and accuracy of trades, while collaborating with traders and team members to resolve discrepancies, working closely with business partners through positive working relationships, to manage client risk.
2. Act as a contact for all external counterparties on desk-related trade queries / life cycle management. Tableau F&O production and modifications as requested by Desk.
3. Monitor daily compliance reports to prevent client limit breaches, and reconcile trading accounts, driving the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, leveraging automation potentials without introduction of risks and always compliant, while fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
4. Deliver exceptional service to internal and external clients, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of market trends, trading regulations, and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
5. Prepare and analyse trading reports for management review in timely manner, contributing to strategic discussions in team meetings and handling ad-hoc projects and tasks as needed. Includes but is not limited to coverage of various reporting and ensuring data maintenance upheld to support the business: Desk MIS (Portfolio Liquidity/maturities/credit, FCA diversification, yield matrix), SLAM static maintenance for new issuers / products, Desk documentation (SOPs/Agreements), Fiduciary Account Reviews, etc.
6. Utilize strong analytical and problem-solving skills to support strategic initiatives and drive continuous improvement.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

7. Proven experience in trading or financial services with a solid understanding of trading systems and financial markets, demonstrating a solid foundation in industry practices and operations.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to analyse processes and information, identify problems and trends, enabling effective decision-making and issue resolution.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, facilitating clear and productive interactions with colleagues and stakeholders. Commitment to providing exceptional service to customers and support to colleagues.
10. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, complemented by advanced digital literacy for integrating innovative technologies in trade services and a quick learner of both product knowledge and new systems.
11. Self-motivated individual with capability to work effectively in fast-paced environments, maintaining a detail-oriented approach and strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
12. Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in team settings through leading by example with positive attitude and engagement at all times, leveraging excellent communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
13. Strong commitment to delivering high-quality results, with a focus on continuous improvement and adaptability.

14. Proficient in using trading platforms and software, with hands-on experience in navigating and optimizing these tools.
15. Knowledgeable about regulatory requirements in the trading industry, ensuring compliance and adherence to industry standards.
16. Skilled in leveraging digital literacy to adopt and integrate innovative technologies, enhancing trade services and operational efficiency.
17. Capable of utilizing AI and machine learning to enhance trade service processes and improve decision-making, driving data-driven insights and outcomes.
