Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical / Building Services Engineer with 8–10 years of proven expertise in building services design for international projects. The role involves leading the design and coordination of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems for high-profile buildings, ensuring compliance with global standards, local regulations, and sustainability best practices. The successful candidate will mentor junior engineers, manage complex design projects, and interact with international clients, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams. Key Responsibilities Design Leadership Lead the design of building services systems including: HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection Energy efficiency and sustainable building systems Specialized systems for commercial, industrial, healthcare, or mixed-use developments Prepare detailed design documentation, specifications, and schedules. Review and approve technical submissions from junior engineers. Ensure coordination with architectural, structural, and electrical disciplines. Project Management Manage multiple building design projects from concept through to completion. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to clarify design requirements. Participate in technical presentations, workshops, and project review meetings. Compliance & Standards Ensure designs comply with international building codes, local regulations, and sustainability standards (e.g., LEED, BREEAM). Support quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) processes. Provide guidance on risk management and compliance issues. Mentorship & Team Leadership Coach, mentor, and develop junior engineers within the team. Promote best practices, design standards, and continuous improvement initiatives. Contribute to a culture of collaboration and innovation across international projects. Minimum Requirements Education Bachelors Degree in Mechanical / Building Services / MEP Engineering. Professional registration (PrEng or international equivalent) advantageous. Experience 8–10 years of building services design experience. Proven experience in complex, multi-disciplinary, and international projects. Demonstrated leadership in design and project delivery. Technical Skills Advanced knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and energy systems. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit / BIM, and engineering design software (e.g., HAP, IES, Trace). Strong understanding of international building codes and sustainability standards. Competencies Strategic thinking with strong analytical skills.
