Roles & Responsibilities

Assist with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting).

Support with mobility and use of equipment safely.
*
Prompt or administer medication according to care plans.
*
Keep accurate medication and daily care records.
*
Provide emotional support and companionship.
*
Encourage independence and confidence in daily activities.
*
Support with meal preparation and dietary needs.
*
Carry out household tasks (cleaning, laundry, tidying).
*
Assist with shopping, budgeting, and household organisation.
*
Support service users with social activities and community involvement.
*
Help service users develop life skills (cooking, travel, money management).
*
Follow safeguarding procedures and report any concerns.
*
Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.
*
Work as part of a team with families, carers, and professionals.
*
Follow health and safety guidelines and risk assessments.
*
Support care-plan goals and update records as needed.
*
Attend training and maintain required care standards.
*
Support individuals with behaviours of concern (if applicable).
*
Assist with appointments, travel, or transport when needed.
*
Follow organisational policies, procedures, and CQC standards.
Requirement
*
Minimum 6 months of experience working in the UK as a Support Worker.
*
Must hold a valid DBS Certificate (Enhanced DBS).
*
Must hold a Care Certificate or equivalent recognised care training.
*
Driving licence is optional (advantage but not essential)
