Contract Details

Fixed term contracts are available between 29th June and 29th August.

* Full summer contract: 29th June - 18th July, 23rd July - 8th August, 14th August - 29th August.
* Medium term contract: 29th June - 18th July & 23rd July - 8th August.
* Short term contract: 20th July - 8th August.


Role Overview

InvestIN's Centre Manager will take overall management of one of our Halls of Residence, managing a team of Assistant Centre Managers (ACMs) and on-site health and well‑being teams, and taking accountability for the smooth running of the centre and the safeguarding and well‑being of all students in our care.

During the summer holidays, we deliver immersive Summer Experiences designed to give students a 360‑degree insight into their dream career. Led by industry professionals, our programmes offer up to 65 hours of hands‑on experience, including visits to real workplaces, professional development coaching, and exclusive networking opportunities.

These experiences are based on‑campus in central London at some of the UK's most prestigious universities, including University College London (UCL), the London School of Economics (LSE), and the University of London. Students can choose to attend a one‑week, two‑week, or two‑week Premium programme, with the option to study on a non‑residential or residential basis. The setting provides a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment while offering an authentic taste of university life in the heart of London.


Ways We Support Our Centre Managers

* We will cover the full cost of a new Enhanced DBS (if required) for your first contract working with InvestIN.

Remuneration

£900 per week, plus 2 meals per day and accommodation.

You will accrue annual leave at a standard rate of 25 days per year pro‑rated.


Working Hours

55 hours per week on average (you will be asked to 'opt out' of the 48‑hour Working Time Directive).


Main Duties: Site Management

* Act as on‑site Designated Safeguarding Lead.
* Overall day‑to‑day management of one of our Halls of Residence (UCL Garden Halls or College Halls).
* Overall accountability and responsibility for smooth and safe running of the centre.
* Responsible for leading on‑site check‑in and check‑out days and wrap‑around pastoral care.
* Responsible for record‑keeping on site and oversight of the team's record‑keeping in line with InvestIN's policies and procedures.
* Act as on‑site Fire Marshall.


Main Duties: People Management

* Manage our team of 5–6 ACMs.
* Hold pastoral team accountable for facilitating internal and external communication.
* Manage site‑based teams TOIL / overtime requests.
* Perform performance management of summer pastoral team, and communicate escalations to DSL or HR.
* Act as primary liaison point between summer pastoral team and InvestIN's full‑time team, including Directors, Head of Safeguarding and Student Experience Team.
* Maintain regular face‑time with all centre staff, including leading full‑team meetings and facilitating site‑based daily meetings.


Main Duties: Safeguarding

* Act as a local point of contact, in conjunction with student support teams, across a 24‑hour provision, providing support, intervention and advice relating to health, safety and well‑being.
* Responsible for escalating concerns to Local Authority and MASH.
* Monitor and report on the well‑being of students in your care, including communicating relevant information from risk assessments for any students to site‑based teams.
* Maintain up‑to‑date records on all InvestIN's reporting platforms.


Main Duties: Behaviour Management

* Oversee and positively impact the overall residential experience, including managing behaviour against the Behaviour Matrix, continually risk‑assessing facility safety, and communicating hazards or risks to the University of London team.
* Conduct behaviour management meetings and facilitate Individual Behaviour Plans for students with high‑level warnings.
* Act as point of contact for escalation of behaviour management issues.
* Under guidance of InvestIN management, lead on student expulsions.


Other Duties

* Understand and act in accordance with InvestIN's ethos and cultural values.
* Adhere to InvestIN's safeguarding policy and staff/student Code of Conduct procedures and practices.
* Undertake mandatory safeguarding and child protection training and other professional development activities to remain compliant with InvestIN's duty of care (KCSIE 2025).


References and DBS

* Provide details of two recent and relevant professional or academic referees.
* Undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, and equivalent if you have lived outside the UK.
* State that you have no known reason why you cannot work with children.
* Provide official identification and certificates for records.
