The Phoenix Emporium is recruiting for a Retail Sales Assistant who is looking for a unique environment to work in, with great people skills and a general interest in antiques, collectables and other eclectic items.
We are a small family business currently expanding, and we are looking to build on our existing loyal and dedicated staff base.
Minimum of five years full time retail experience required.
Our customer base is broad and we have a large number of traders, so people skills are essential to maintain our high satisfaction standards.
Responsibilities and role requirements to include:
· Good people skills – dealing with a mixed customer base and liaising with our traders both face to face, via email and over the phone
· Minimum five years general retail experience required – basic till skills essential
· Attention to detail with processing transactions, taking cash and card payments
· Ability to follow procedures but also comfortable making decisions and using own initiative
· Understanding of the unique nature of Emporiums over normal retail outlets
· Trustworthy and reliable
· Discreet and able to appreciate the sensitive nature of information handling
Role will be for 2-4 full days a week including working alternate weekends – we are open seven days a week, so flexibility is essential.
You must be resident in the UK and eligible to work.
Start date – as soon as possible
Starting salary £12.50 per hour
