Responsibilities
* Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion and sign‑off.
* Supervise, support and review the work of junior team members.
* Communicate directly with clients, managing timelines, budgets and expectations.
* Review financial statements, assess internal controls and identify audit risks.
* Handle more complex audit areas including group audits, acquisitions and restructures.
Requirements
* Previous experience working in audit within an accountancy practice.
* To be studying towards ACA / ACCA / CA, be qualified, or be qualified by experience.
* Strong knowledge of UK accounting and auditing standards, including Companies Act requirements.
* Confidence leading audits, managing multiple deadlines and working directly with clients.
* The ability to identify risk, solve problems and escalate technical matters where needed.
