About the Role

Please note that we will be closed from 4pm on Friday 19 December and will reopen on Monday 5 January 2026. You are still welcome to apply for our roles during this period, and applications will be reviewed once we reopen in January 2026.

We are looking for a Student Recruitment and Admissions Officer to provide an excellent potential student experience in terms of an efficient and streamlined process for all stages of recruitment, with a strong focus on the conversion of inquiries to enrolment.

Please note this role will also require you to work at Harrogate College once or twice a week (travel expenses paid from Park Lane Campus to Harrogate) and Somerville House once a month. The role also offers the flexibility to work from home one day per week.

What You Will Do

1. Be the first point of contact for potential students, including Application and course inquiries.
2. Offer Matrix standard of advice and guidance to potential students.
3. Attend external events across the region – including evenings and weekends.
4. Support the interview events providing an excellent experience for potential students, parents, and external stakeholders.
5. Deal with all Applications with efficiently and in a timely manner to meet our Service Level Agreements.
6. Process applications ensure all offers have been made to potential students.

About You

7. Relevant I.A.G Qualification at level 2 or above.
8. Relevant Customer service qualification or training, Literacy and numeracy qualification at Level 2 or above.
9. A professional understanding of admissions including experience of working effectively in an admission role.
10. Ability to build and maintain strong internal and external working relationships and work in a confidential manner.
11. Experience of working in a busy high-volume customer focused environment.
12. Good knowledge of student database systems or C.R.M systems.
13. Good knowledge of systems processes and regulations relevant to admissions.
14. Excellent customer service skills.
