The role
We are currently partnering with a highly regarded independent investment banking boutique in London that is looking to hire an ambitious FIG Associate to join its growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a high-calibre investment banking professional to gain significant deal exposure, work directly with senior bankers, and play a key role in advising leading financial institutions across a broad range of strategic and M&A transactions.
The Opportunity
As a FIG Associate, you will be involved in the execution and origination of transactions across the financial institutions sector, including banks, insurers, asset managers, fintechs, specialty finance businesses, and other diversified financial services companies.
Working within a lean team structure, you will benefit from increased responsibility, direct client interaction, and exposure to complex, high-profile transactions from day one.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the execution of M&A, capital raising, and strategic advisory mandates
- Building and reviewing detailed financial models and valuation analyses
- Preparing client presentations, pitch books, and transaction materials
- Conducting industry, market, and company-specific research
- Managing due diligence processes and coordinating with clients and external advisers
- Developing relationships with existing and prospective clients
- Mentoring Analysts and contributing to team development
Candidate Requirements
- 3–6 years of relevant investment banking experience, ideally within a FIG team
- Strong financial modelling and valuation capabilities
- Demonstrated experience executing M&A and/or capital markets transactions
- Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills
- Strong academic credentials
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- A genuine interest in the financial institutions sector
