Astute's Nuclear team is partnering with a FTSE 100 organisation that contributes to international defence to recruit a Principal Mechanical Engineer on a 12-month contract, on a hybrid basis, to its Plymouth site.
The Principal Mechanical Engineer role comes with an hourly rate between £70 - £87 an hour.
Key skills required for the Principal Mechanical Engineer role
Experience of designing a mechanical service or process systems.
Experience of working in a highly regulated industry, strong preference to nuclear.
Understanding of hydraulic or pressure calculations.
Understanding of hazard identification and analysis associated with process systems (e.g. HAZID, HAZOP etc)
BEng/BSc in mechanical engineering or similar degree.
Line management experience of 3+ direct reports.
