Job overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic Pharmacy messenger who will be
responsible for the safe delivery of medication to the wards and departments under the supervision of the Distribution Team Leader.
You will work together with one other full time Pharmacy Porter and will also be involved with receiving, and storing bulk deliveries of intravenous fluids. You will get the opportunity to assist the Distribution Team
and cover the Storekeeper role and other administration tasks when required.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for someone with a good understanding of spoken and writtenEnglish, basic Maths, basic IT and good communication skills in order to deal with a wide variety of Pharmacy staff and ward staff.
You should be able to follow procedures closely and be able work well in a team to provide a high-quality patient-focused service.
You would need to be physically fit as the job can be demanding and heavy lifting is involved.
