Based at our 64-acre site, sitting in the heart of Sheffield, we are looking for a Slinger / Crane Driver to work in our Forge department. This role will involve working as part of a 2-person team, loading and unloading the heat treatment furnaces and occasionally the Forge Furnaces Role Responsibilities Ensuring the treatment & forge furnaces are loaded and unloaded safely. Descaling furnaces prior to heat treatments commencing. Crane Driving both Cab and Tele Motive & Pendant. Slinging of forgings for loading and unloading. Water and oil quenching of forgings Operate a Selas treatment rig. Ensure that the quality of the forged products are high at all times. About You The following relevant skills, knowledge and experience are required. Previous crane driving experience. Previous experience of slinging. Thorough understanding of health and safety in the workplace. Willing and able to undertake shift work. Must be willing to learn new skills. Previous experience working in a heavy engineering environment and / or heat treatment plant is an advantage, but not essential.
