We are currently recruiting a Semi Senior Accountant to join our friendly and growing team, based in our newly refurbished office in the heart of Buckhurst Hill. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in a supportive and professional environment.
About the Role
As part of our accounts team, you'll provide essential support across a wide range of accounting and compliance functions. You'll be working closely with colleagues and clients to deliver a high standard of service and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
1. Preparing company statutory accounts and corporation tax computations
2. Carrying out all aspects of bookkeeping
3. Submitting company confirmation statements and registering PAYE and VAT
4. Managing Companies House duties (incorporations, director changes etc…)
5. Preparing personal tax returns for landlords, directors and high-net-worth individuals
6. Presenting quarterly VAT returns to the Manager for review and final submission
What We're Looking For
1. Previous UK experience within an accountancy firm is essential
2. Experience working with Sage Accounts and XERO
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
4. Ability to work independently and collaboratively
5. Proactive approach with good initiative
6. Excellent time management and organisation
7. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build long-term client relationships
