About the Role
Are you an experienced SEN Teacher or Teaching Assistant passionate about making a difference for students with SEMH needs and a range of additional difficulties? Protocol Education is recruiting for primary and secondary schools in Middlesbrough, looking for educators who can provide tailored, 1:1 or small group support to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver individualised support for students with SEMH needs and other disabilities, including autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, and physical or sensory impairments
* Implement personalised learning plans and behaviour management strategies
* Support students’ social, emotional, and academic development
* Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, pastoral staff, and external professionals to meet each student’s needs
* Manage challenging behaviour and support students in developing resilience and self-regulation skills
* Contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom environment
Requirements
* Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs and a range of additional disabilities
* Knowledge of SEND Code of Practice and safeguarding procedures
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching/TA experience
* Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
* Ability to remain calm and respond effectively to challenging behaviour

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
