We are looking for a talented, innovative and dedicated Reception Class teacher (maternity cover) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be someone who is passionate about teaching to the highest standard, committed to maintaining a healthy, comfortable environment, and who has the ability to develop their practice.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE POST
To perform the duties of a teacher as outlined in the School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions document. The post-holder will be expected to manage all aspects of teaching and learning as set out in the Teachers Standards document.
Responsibilities:
·To be fully aware of and understand the duties and responsibilities arising from the Children Act 2004 and Working Together in relation to child protection and safeguarding children and young people.
·To ensure that senior staff / designated safeguarding leads are made aware and kept fully informed of any concerns which you may have in relation to safeguarding and/or child protection
·To implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and inclusive curriculum for all pupils.
·To be an effective and reflective classroom teacher able to demonstrate and share good practice.
·To provide relevant assessment information to monitor the overall progress and development of all pupils.
·To encourage pupil’s motivation and enthusiasm, securing positive attitudes to learning and high standards of behaviour and discipline across the school.
·To contribute to the raising of standards.
