Our client, a leading company based in the Southwest and experiencing a period of significant growth, is currently seeking a skilled Finance Assistant to join their expanding finance team on a full-time, permanent basis.
As the Finance Assistant, you will support daily finance operations, record transactions, and assist with budgeting, forecasting, and analysis as needed.
The responsibilities:
* Manage assigned cost and balance sheet accounts with accurate reporting.
* Prepare and post accruals, prepayments, and journals.
* Analyse costs vs. budget, reporting key variances.
* Handle end-to-end accounts payable for invoices using internal systems.
* Coordinate monthly and quarterly payments.
* Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation calculations.
* Support budgeting and reforecasting with financial analysis.
* Ensure timely completion of month- and year-end close.
The candidate:
* Experience working within a fast paced, high volume finance environment.
* Clear written and verbal communicator.
* Strong financial analysis and problem-solving skills.
* Detail-oriented and well-organised.
* Proficient in Excel (formulas, data tools, spreadsheet management).
