We are partnering with a global, commercially focused start up business seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Analyst to join the team on a temporary to permanent basis.
Working as part of a collaborative and high-performing finance team, you will play a key role in supporting end-to-end accounts payable operations while also contributing to wider process improvement and reporting initiatives. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to take the next step beyond transactional AP into a more analytical, value-add finance role.
What you will be doing:
* Supporting the full end-to-end accounts payable process
* Assisting with month end close, including accruals, prepayments and supporting AP reporting packs
* Producing and maintaining AP reports, helping to identify trends, exceptions and opportunities for improvement
* Supporting the development of dashboards and MI reporting
* Analysing AP data to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks and opportunities to streamline processes
* Acting as a key point of contact for supplier queries, building strong relationships and ensuring timely resolution of issues
* Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the finance function, including system and process enhancements
* Working closely with finance and wider business teams to ensure accurate and timely financial information is available for decision making
What we are looking for:
* Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving
* Accounts payable experience within a high-volume environment
* Around 2–3 years of finance experience and looking for the next step in responsibility and exposure
* Strong Excel and systems skills, with confidence working with large data sets
* Experience using finance or ERP systems (Dynamics, SAP, NetSuite or similar advantageous)
* Actively studying towards a finance qualification (AAT or equivalent)
* A curious mindset with an interest in improving processes and working more analytically with data
