Clinical Responsibilities
You will ensure critically ill patients receive safe and individualised care by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating their care.
Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with information governance requirements.
Communicate clearly and accurately with colleagues and shift leader about clinical condition of patients while making clinical judgements involving complex information, within limitations of skills and knowledge.
Maintain professional relationships and excellent communication with patients and relatives, ensuring there needs are met with sensitivity and empathy.
Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times, acting as a positive role model to peers and junior staff.
Ensure your own personal and professional development as well as supervise and teach junior members of staff.
Qualifications & Experience
* Current NMC registration
* Post‑qualification experience in a Critical Care environment
* A commitment to delivering safe, compassionate, and effective patient care
* Motivation to develop professionally within Critical Care nursing
About the Trust
Critical Care Services at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Staff Nurse, with Critical Care experience, to further develop your skills and play a key role in transforming patient care.
You will be based within the Critical Care Department at Hinchingbrooke Hospital, a 10‑bed combined Intensive Care and High Dependency Unit, caring for approximately 650 patients each year. Cross‑site working at Peterborough City Hospital may be required to support service delivery.
