This new role offers a unique opportunity to lead and execute high-impact, cross-functional procurement projects. This role is critical in driving value, innovation, and efficiency across our indirect procurement landscape. What You'll Do reporting directly to the Head of Procurement - Indirects, you will lead and manage the entire lifecycle of special procurement projects - from conception and strategic planning to execution, and post-implementation review Conduct in-depth market analysis and due diligence to identify and qualify new suppliers, technologies, and innovative solutions that align with project goals and drive a competitive advantage. Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, defining scope, deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation for initiatives such as new system implementations, process re-engineering, and strategic supplier consolidation. Draft and negotiate complex commercial and contractual agreements with suppliers, ensuring favourable terms, risk mitigation, and adherence to company policies. Utilize your technical expertise to lead sourcing initiatives for complex technical services and equipment, ensuring that specifications and performance standards are met. Track and report on project progress, key performance indicators (KPIs), and financial targets to the Head of Procurement and senior leadership. Champion the adoption of procurement best practices and new technologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the procurement function. You Will Need: Essential 5 years of progressive experience in a strategic procurement or category management role A bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or a related technical field is strongly preferred. Proven track record of successfully managing complex, large-scale projects from inception to completion Strong understanding of strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, supplier relationship management, and risk management. Strong negotiation skills with a proven ability to achieve favourable commercial outcomes. A highly analytical mindset with the ability to identify and resolve complex problems in a timely manner. Proficiency in using enterprise-wide procurement software Experience with platforms such as SAP Ariba, Coupa, GEP SMART, or Oracle Procurement Cloud Advanced skills in project management tools are necessary for planning, execution, and reporting Expertise in platforms like Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana, or Monday.com The ability to analyse complex data sets and present findings in a clear and concise manner is critical. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must, and experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI is a plus. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
