Commercial Research Nurse Manager Band 8a (Fixed term 3 years)
The Edinburgh Clinical Research Facility (CRF) are looking to recruit experienced, enthusiastic and innovative Clinical Research Nurses. These exceptional individuals will create a new Nursing and Clinical team for the NHS Lothian Commercial Research Delivery Centre (CRDC), based in ward 22 at the Western General Hospital.
The CRDC is opening as part of the 2024 Investment programme (VPAG) which has been agreed by the Department of Health and Social Care, NHS England and the ABPI to support patient access to medicines, the financial sustainability of the NHS and the UK life sciences sector ( )
Post holders will assist us in providing high quality planned nursing care for patients and volunteers participating in clinical research across a broad range of clinical specialties, supporting investigators and research teams to deliver safe, efficient and effective clinical research.
Edinburgh CRF is well established in supporting clinical research with 3 existing CRFs at the Western General Hospital (Welcome Trust CRF), Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh (RIECRF) and the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People (Children’s CRF). The CRDC will create additional resource and capacity in NHS Lothian to support clinical research, and in particular commercial research
