CNC Turner – Job Description

We are looking for a competent CNC Turner to join a busy, fast‑paced machine shop based in the Hamworthy, Poole area on a rotating shift pattern. This role requires strong setting and programming experience with Siemens and/or Fanuc controls and will involve working with materials such as aluminium, mild steel, stainless steel and various composites.

Main Responsibilities

• Support the CNC cell with setting and operating multiple machines in the most efficient way possible.
• Ensure quality procedures are followed to reduce non‑conformance rate.
• Maintain machines to reduce downtime.
• Follow company health & safety procedures.

Hours / Shifts

Week 1: 6 am – 2 pm Monday to Friday

Week 2: 2 pm – 12 am Monday to Thursday

37.5 hours per week

Holiday

1.66 days holiday per complete calendar month worked for the first year (maximum 20 days for the first full year), rising by 1 day per year to a maximum of 25 days after 5 years of continuous service. Birthday as a day off (subject to conditions).

Relevant Experience
