Job Title: Mental Health Support in Schools - Teaching Assistant

Salary: from £13.69 per hour
Key Responsibilities
* Provide individualized support to students with mental health needs.
* Foster a safe and supportive environment conducive to the emotional well‑being of students.
* Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to implement tailored support strategies.
* Support the social and emotional development of students through various therapeutic interventions.
* Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of student progress and intervention strategies.
Requirements
* Previous experience working in a similar role, particularly within an educational setting.
* A genuine passion for supporting the mental health and well‑being of students.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
* Understanding of relevant legislation and policies related to mental health in schools.
Qualifications
* Relevant qualifications – TA, Education, Childcare, Mental Health, social work, care, etc.
* Enhanced DBS certificate (this must be on the Update Service).
