Job Title: Overseas Tax Specialist
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Overseas Tax Specialist.
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Internal Partnership Tax Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for advising on overseas tax and reporting requirements when KPMG colleagues travel or work overseas for business purposes or are authorized to work overseas for personal reasons.
The role involves data analysis, research, and providing technical advice on overseas corporate tax, employment tax, indirect tax, and social security implications. You will also be responsible for liaising with specialists in the firm to ensure all overseas tax liabilities are considered and discussing technical issues with the rest of the team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Review and respond to client teams on the tax implications of overseas working for specific client engagements via the firms' risk and operating territory policy process.
* Liaise directly with specialists in the firm to ensure all overseas tax liabilities are considered and discuss technical issues with the rest of the team.
* Regularly consult with non-tax colleagues to understand and mitigate non-tax risks associated with overseas travel.
* Assist with registration requirements with overseas tax and regulatory authorities as required.
* Prepare analysis and draft overseas corporate tax calculations to support preparation of overseas tax returns.
* Deal with withholding tax queries from the business and liaise with finance teams and overseas contacts to provide documentation needed to mitigate the impact of withholding taxes.
About You:
We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual with excellent communication and analytical skills. You should have a strong understanding of UK corporate and overseas tax compliance and a willingness to develop technical knowledge in overseas taxes.
The ideal candidate will have ATT and/or experience in UK corporate or overseas tax compliance, excellent organizational and communication skills, ability to manage own workload, respect for confidential information, and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
