A vacancy has arisen within our plant department to, repair, maintain and service our fleet of excavators, dumpers, telehandlers, rollers, small tools, wagons, cars and vans.
The Role
Repairing, and preparation for site, construction equipment, from small tools, up to 20t. excavators, and everything in between.
Servicing and repairing a small fleet of vans, cars and wagons.
Planned and preventative maintenance, for all plant and wagons to ensure equipment reliability.
Some welding and cutting - experience desirable but not essential.
Using diagnostic equipment, when needed - experience desirable but not essential.
Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical knowledge.
An understanding of, LOLER and PUWER.
Ordering of parts for maintaining the fleet.
Keeping the workshop and yard tidy.
Keeping detailed records of, inspections, and service reports, for all plant and vehicles.
Workshop and onsite work as required.
Good communication, teamwork, and flexibility.
Class 2 wagon licence advantageous.
Salary
Salary negotiable depending on experience.
The Person
Minimum 3 years' experience within a similar role in the construction industry.
Problem solving skills and the ability to use own initiative.
Able to prioritise workload.

Place of work - workshop based at 8 Kenyon Road, Lomeshaye Industrial Estate, Nelson BB9 5SP
Hours of Work - 7am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday; 7am to 3.30pm Friday.
Annual leave entitlement - 23 days (plus 8 bank holidays) per year increasing by 1 day for every five years of service. 5- 7 days plus 3 bank holidays to be saved for Christmas closure (determined annually each January).
