Global Director, Supply Chain
This role has been created to bring greater structure, control and commercial discipline to procurement and supply chain activities within a fast growing international cosmetics company.
The focus is on strengthening supplier partnerships, protecting product quality, managing cost effectively and ensuring reliable supply to support brand growth across global markets.
Operating at a senior level across procurement, operations, finance and product teams, the role will shape sourcing strategy, improve supply chain performance and ensure procurement decisions support both brand ambition and commercial performance.
The position is remote with flexibility on location within the UK.
Key Responsibilities
* Own procurement and supply chain management across raw material suppliers, packaging partners, contract manufacturers, logistics providers and distribution networks, ensuring cost, quality and supply reliability are consistently maintained.
* Develop sourcing strategies that support brand growth, margin protection and product quality while securing dependable long term supplier relationships.
* Lead supplier negotiation, contracting and performance management across ingredients, packaging and manufacturing partners.
* Establish clear procurement processes, governance and spend visibility to support disciplined purchasing and effective supplier oversight.
* Work closely with commercial and marketing teams to strengthen demand planning and supply forecasting, supporting product launches, promotional activity and seasonal demand cycles.
* Identify cost improvement opportunities through supplier strategy, packaging specification review, supplier consolidation and operational efficiencies.
* Oversee inventory planning and supply chain performance to ensure products are consistently available across retail, e-commerce and distribution channels.
* Manage supply chain risk, including supplier capacity, raw material availability, regulatory compliance and quality standards.
* Build strong collaboration across finance, marketing, product development, quality and operations teams to ensure aligned decision making and effective execution.
Candidate Requirements
* Senior procurement or supply chain professional with experience operating across international consumer goods environments.
* Relevant degree in supply chain management, procurement, business, engineering or a related discipline.
* Experience within FMCG sectors such as cosmetics, personal care, beauty, skincare, consumer products or aesthetics.
* Proven ability to introduce structure and commercial control into growing or evolving supply chains.
* Strong commercial judgement across supplier economics, ingredient and packaging sourcing, contract negotiation and risk management.
* Track record of influencing senior stakeholders and managing external manufacturing and supplier relationships.
* Comfort operating both strategically and operationally, combining hands on delivery with longer term capability building.
* Full and permanent right to work in the UK. Visa sponsorship is not available.
