Our client is a leading 3PL in the UK and we are delighted to assist them in their search for an experienced Transport professional as they look to recruit an Interim Transport Operations Manager on an initial 6 month contract, at their site in Bristol.
A brand new role, created to provide operational Transport support, the Transport Operations Manager will be lending their expertise to help support a busy contract by providing leadership on a daily basis.
Key Accountabilities as Interim Transport Operations Manager:
The leadership and management of the Transport operation across multiple sites, in order to ensure that deliveries are made On Time, In Full (OTIF) Providing leadership to the team in supporting operational changeTo manage and produce Operational KPIs in relation to the Transport departmentProviding support and people management to the team, including Transport Team Managers and DriversTo ensure the transport department is compliant in its practices in line with the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency.
The Ideal Person for the Interim Transport Operations Manager role:
Able to demonstrate significant transport experience within a multi-drop, FMCG environmentPossess a CPC QualificationHave established management experience at a senior levelBe able to demonstrate both strong leadership and people management skillsBe able to work under pressure, multi-tasking and prioritising work-loads successfully.
