Job Overview
We are looking for a Dementia Care Manager at Astbury Manor Care Home to lead the dementia community, implement the care strategy, manage resources within a budget, and ensure person‑centred care planning. The role involves fostering respectful relationships, driving meaningful activities, and advocating for residents’ best interests.
Key Responsibilities
* Implement and embed the dementia care strategy across the facility.
* Manage resources and budget for the Dementia Community.
* Ensure accurate, person‑centred care plans that reflect residents’ needs and preferences.
* Build caring relationships with residents and families, acting as an advocate and managing conflict sensitively.
* Collaborate with the Activities Team to develop and promote meaningful activities for residents with dementia.
* Promote a culture that maximises residents’ capabilities, independence, and quality of life.
Qualifications
* Minimum three years experience in a similar role.
* Comprehensive understanding of CQC standards and requirements.
* Industry‑relevant qualifications.
* Knowledge of care services businesses and the UK health and social care market.

* DBS Disclosure check – cost covered by the employer.
* Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
