GSL Education are seeking a reliable Cover Supervisor to work with schools in Rotherham, including the S65 and S66 areas, ensuring lessons run smoothly when teachers are absent and supporting students to stay focused and engaged. As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will supervise whole classes using pre-prepared lesson materials, maintain positive behaviour, and help students complete tasks in a structured and supportive environment. Main Duties of Cover Supervisor: Supervise classes during teacher absence using provided lesson plans. Maintain positive behaviour and classroom discipline in line with school policies. Ensure students complete work set and remain on task. Provide clear instructions and support where required. Report back to teaching staff regarding class work and behaviour. Essential Requirements: Previous experience working in a school or educational setting is desirable. Strong communication and classroom management skills. Confidence in leading a class independently. A commitment to safeguarding and student welfare. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply). What’s in It for You?
