We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and caring Nursery Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Woodford, starting as soon as possible. As a Nursery Teacher, you will plan, deliver, and assess engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons across the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). You will foster curiosity, independence, and positive learning behaviours while ensuring that all children are supported in their social, emotional, and cognitive development. You will also work closely with parents and carers to provide feedback, guidance, and support for children’s learning both in school and at home. Key Responsibilities Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality EYFS lessons tailored to children’s needs Support children’s development across all areas of learning, including literacy, numeracy, physical, social, and emotional development Promote independence, resilience, and positive learning behaviours Observe, assess, and record children’s progress accurately Work collaboratively with nursery staff, teaching assistants, and other colleagues Build positive relationships with parents and carers, providing regular updates on children’s progress Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment Support children with additional needs, including SEND and EAL learners Contribute to staff meetings, CPD, and whole-school initiatives Uphold safeguarding procedures and promote the welfare of all pupils The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Have experience teaching in Nursery or EYFS settings Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills Be patient, nurturing, and adaptable to meet the needs of all children Be reflective, proactive, and committed to inclusion and safeguarding Work collaboratively within a professional and supportive team The school is located in Woodford, with excellent transport links and a welcoming local community.
