We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and adherence to all road safety regulations.
Duties
* Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
* Load and unload goods, performing heavy lifting as necessary.
* Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
* Plan delivery routes efficiently to maximise productivity and minimise delays.
* Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times and any potential issues.
* Maintain accurate records of deliveries made, including any discrepancies or damages.
* Assist in warehouse duties when required, including inventory management and organisation.
Skills
* Previous experience as a delivery driver is highly desirable.
* A valid driving licence with the appropriate class for the vehicle being operated is essential.
* Experience in commercial driving is advantageous.
* Strong driving skills with a clean driving record.
* Familiarity with warehouse operations is beneficial.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting and handle physical demands of the job.
