The difference you will make as a Property Services Gas Engineer (Domestic Heating)
Riverside Property Services manages repairs and maintenance for over 24,000 properties across London, the Southeast, and Home Counties. Your role involves delivering high-quality gas servicing, repairs, and installations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with Gas Safe standards, regulatory requirements, and internal procedures. Your work will support Riverside’s goal of achieving 100% compliance and delivering a customer-first, right-first-time service.
About You
We seek someone with ACS qualifications: CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1, CPA1, G3 (Unvented Hot Water Systems). An NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing & Heating (or equivalent BPEC/LCL). A minimum of 4 years’ experience in domestic gas work (servicing, repairs & installs) is preferred.

Role Responsibilities
* Carry out gas safety checks, repairs, boiler diagnostics, and upgrades
* Install and commission gas appliances
* Respond to emergency breakdowns and no-heating/hot water issues
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and document all work accurately
* Maintain tools, PPE, and vehicle standards
* Report safety concerns and incidents promptly
* Communicate effectively with residents and support vulnerable customers
* Participate in scheduled training and team activities
* Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient service delivery
* Support out-of-hours work and overtime as required
Person Specification
Essential
* Current ACS qualifications: CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1, CPA1
* G3 (Unvented Hot Water Systems)
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing & Heating (or equivalent)
* Water Regulations (WRAS) & Part L knowledge
* At least 4 years’ domestic gas experience
* Valid UK Driving License
* Strong diagnostic and communication skills
Desirable
* Experience in social housing or DLO environments
* Experience working with vulnerable tenants
* Electrical qualifications (Part P or similar)
* Health and Safety awareness
* Commercial gas qualifications
