Primary Teacher (Lead Practitioner) – Hospital School – Camden
Start Date: 16th March 2026
Pay: £207 – £310 per day
Contract: Maternity Cover until Easter 2027
An exceptional hospital school based in Camden is seeking to appoint an experienced and dynamic Primary Teacher with Lead Practitioner experience to join their dedicated team.
This is a unique and rewarding opportunity to work within a specialist setting, supporting pupils with medical needs. The successful candidate will bring strong mainstream or SEN primary experience alongside proven leadership capability.
About the Role:
50% teaching within the primary phase
50% leading and supporting the primary teacher
Providing high-quality teaching tailored to pupils with medical and additional needs
Supporting curriculum development and best practice across the primary provision
Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teamsThe role will begin on 16th March 2026, allowing a short handover period, and will run as maternity cover until Easter 2027.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (Primary trained)
Have experience as a Lead Practitioner (or equivalent leadership responsibility)
Have recent experience teaching in a mainstream primary or SEN setting
Demonstrate excellent knowledge of the primary curriculum
Be adaptable, resilient, and committed to inclusive practice
Have strong mentoring and coaching skillsWhat’s on Offer:
