Student Services supports students at each stage of their journey from pre-entry to post exit. The department has a student-oriented culture and prioritizes students’ needs.
As our Youth Worker, you will contribute to a diverse programme, including co-leading and delivering activities to students. You will organize and implement Enrichment activities across the College to foster community engagement and build positive relationships with students.
You will engage with students both formally and informally around campus to promote attendance, ensure social spaces are safe and welcoming, and uphold standards of behaviour.
This role is ideal for someone experienced in working with young people aged 16-18 from various backgrounds. You should understand their needs and challenges, and have a track record of positively engaging with young people to improve behaviour, skills, and confidence.
Applicants should be qualified to Level 3 or above in Youth and Community, Education, Psychology, Sociology, Health & Social Care, or IAG. Experience in planning and delivering enrichment activities, workshops, or tutorials for diverse students is essential. Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and a willingness to attain a Level 3 safeguarding qualification within six months is required.
