We are recruiting on behalf of this leading practice for a Criminal Defence Solicitor to provide Magistrates’ Court representation across Bradford and the surrounding areas.
This role is ideal for a solicitor passionate about criminal law, advocacy and client care. You will play a pivotal role in managing cases and representing clients throughout the criminal justice process.
Key Responsibilities:
Represent clients at Magistrates’ Court hearings across Bradford and West Yorkshire
Deliver clear, timely and practical legal advice to clients
Prepare and manage a varied caseload efficiently, with attention to detail
Liaise professionally with clients, court staff, counsel and other legal professionals
Ensure compliance with professional, regulatory and firm standards
Undertake duty solicitor responsibilities, if accredited
Candidate Profile:
Qualified Solicitor with demonstrable experience in criminal defence
Duty Solicitor accreditation is highly desirable but not essential
Strong advocacy skills with confidence in Magistrates’ Court settings
Excellent interpersonal and client care skills, especially in sensitive situations
Self-motivated with strong organisational and time management abilities
Capable of working independently and managing pressure effectively
What’s on Offer?
Competitive salary ranging from £35,000 to £45,000, depending on experience
