Commercial Lead needed to drive profitability, tighten processes, and deliver clear business impact in a busy creative agency.
Who?
This is a creative communications agency delivering high-stakes, high-impact work for major brands and public sector organisations. As the business grows, we're looking for a Commercial Lead to own forecasting, margin management, pricing discipline, and resource utilisation across client teams to ensure profitable growth and consistent delivery.
You're an experienced commercial leader from an agency or creative environment, comfortable translating complex data into actionable insights. You'll own operational excellence from briefing through delivery, lead contract compliance and GDPR, and drive the adoption of job management tools — all while collaborating closely with Finance and the Head of Agency. You lead by example, with a strong commercial mindset and a track record of embedding efficient, scalable processes.
Why?
This role offers real autonomy and influence over the commercial and operational heart of the agency. You'll lead monthly commercial reviews, spot and fix overservicing issues, and embed best practice across all teams. You'll also champion continuous improvement through systems like Workbook or Deltek, ensuring full adoption and effective training.
Working with senior leadership, you'll shape the agency's commercial strategy and be a key voice in organisational initiatives such as restructures and financial modelling. This is a hands-on, high-responsibility role where your decisions directly impact profitability and client satisfaction.
The package includes hybrid working (1 or 2 days a week in central Cardiff), a salary dependent on experience of around £60-70k, generous holiday allowance, pension.
