About the role:
We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Technical Support Manager to join our waste division at Thames Water. You can be based at various Sewage Network sites depending on your location, but travel will be required as needed.
Your role will involve leading a team of Technical Support Engineers, providing technical support to the Electrical Services team across process operations and Capital Delivery. This includes ensuring the installation of significant electrical assets is managed according to TWUL asset standards, covering construction, commissioning, and handover phases.
The role also involves accountability for delivering projects managed by your team in compliance with asset standards. You will engage with stakeholders from Operations, Engineering, Capital Delivery, and Health Safety and Wellbeing functions regularly.
Your team will be involved in the operation and maintenance of electrical assets, providing ongoing technical support for troubleshooting, asset upgrades, and incident investigations.
Key responsibilities:
1. Lead technical support for electrical system operation and maintenance, including risk management.
2. Engage with stakeholders to align team activities with operational needs.
3. Support capital upgrade projects, ensuring timely input and delivery.
4. Lead investigations into electrical faults and unsafe events.
5. Manage technical records, including maintenance reports, asset registers, and surveys.
Location and working pattern:
Base Location: Maple Lodge, Rickmansworth, WD3 9SQ
Working Pattern: 36 hours, Monday to Friday

Qualifications and experience:
* Significant experience in electrical engineering within industrial utilities or water companies
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations and electrical safety procedures
* Operational experience as an Authorised Person
* Experience mentoring others and managing technical records
* Degree or HNC in electrical engineering or relevant experience
* Formal training in BS7671 and appointment as an Authorised Person
* Proven experience in industrial electrical power engineering
