My client is entering one of the most significant growth phases in their European history. Over the past six years, they have grown from delivering around €100 million in projects to approaching €2 billion across transmission, offshore wind, interconnectors and large-scale grid infrastructure. As their footprint expands across the UK, Germany, Benelux and wider Europe, they are now recruiting a European HSEQ Manager to help shape how the organisation operates across a diverse portfolio of onshore and offshore projects.
This is a foundational position within a rapidly scaling European business. The successful candidate will play a central role in establishing and embedding consistent HSEQ governance across multiple countries, project environments and delivery models. With the European organisation still in its early stages of growth, this role offers significant influence, visibility with senior leadership and the opportunity to define standards that will scale into a multi-country organisation.
About the Role
* Lead HSEQ strategy and implementation across major onshore and offshore transmission and generation projects
* Develop and embed group-wide HSEQ systems, procedures and performance frameworks as the European business grows
* Support project teams across several jurisdictions, ensuring alignment with local and EU regulations
* Champion a proactive safety culture across engineering, construction, marine operations and installation activities
* Collaborate with project directors, construction managers and EPC partners to manage risk, improve behaviours and maintain industry-leading standards
* Establish consistent auditing, reporting and incident-management processes across all European operations
* Provide HSEQ leadership and strategic input during tendering and pre-construction phases
About You
* Extensive experience in HSEQ leadership roles within OEM, EPC or EPCM environments, ideally within transmission, offshore wind, interconnectors or major energy infrastructure
* Strong understanding of European HSEQ regulations and compliance frameworks
* Proven ability to implement systems, influence behaviours and drive continuous improvement across complex projects
* Experience working across multiple countries and managing diverse regulatory requirements
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders and delivery partners
* Comfortable operating in a fast-growing organisation where processes, teams and systems are still being shaped
