About The Role
Civil engineers support the planning, design, building, management, maintenance or dismantling of buildings, structures, and infrastructure. They will use and apply engineering principles and techniques, carry out calculations and data analysis, prepare and produce sketches and diagrams.
* Support civil engineering projects by creating and modifying engineering diagrams, documents, and specifications, following industry standards.
* Assist in developing engineering solutions by collecting and analysing technical data and using digital tools like CAD/BIM/REVIT.
* Prioritise safety by adhering to health and safety guidelines, identifying and mitigating risks.
* Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies, including environmental and sustainability measures.
* Manage project quality, budget, and targets using available systems while maintaining data security.
* Communicate effectively with project teams, customers, and stakeholders.
* Work both independently and as part of a team, taking responsibility for tasks.
* Promote equality, diversity, and ethical standards.
* Continuously learn and develop skills in line with professional codes and industry standards.
Typical Working Week
40 hours per week with start time typically between 07:00 & 08:00 inclusive of paid 8 hours at college.

* Ability to visit different sites and training days.
* Curiosity to learn quickly in a reactive and dynamic working environment.

* Able to understand and follow health and safety protocols.
* You must live in the Borough of Tower Hamlets.
Qualifications
* Minimum requirements: English and Maths at GCSE Grade 4 or above, or Functional Skills at Level 2 or above.
* Desired: Previous related work experience or a completed Level 2 Engineering qualification would be an advantage.
Training and Apprenticeship Details
K10 will enrol you to the Level 3 Civil Engineering course and fund your qualifications through an accredited training provider. The apprenticeship duration is 36 months with an additional 4 months for your End Point Assessment (EPA).
Eligibility
* Living in England for the last 3 years and having the right to work status.
* Not enrolled on any other courses.
* 18+ due to site H&S rules.
* Living in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets.
