We are looking for an IT Technician to join our IT Service department. The primary objective of this role is to deliver a high-quality support service to Turner Schools. This is principally a customer facing role predominately based at Turner Free School. Therefore, excellent interpersonal skills and a focus on quality customer service are essential.
The expected working hours will be defined in the contract, however, for guidance it will be between 8am-4pm. This role will be based atTurner Free Schooland may include occasional travel to other schools in the Trust. You will form an onsite team of 2 and benefit from being part of a wider Trust IT Department
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software
* Troubleshoot and resolve IT problems
* Provide technical support to staff and students
* Assist in the schools network and security systems
* Help to implement the schools ICT strategy
* Keep up to date with the latest ICT developments and technologies
* Train staff and students on the use of ICT
Qualifications and Experience:
* Preferred experience in supporting and maintaining ICT systems in an educational environment
* Good problem-solving and analytical skills
* Excellent customer service skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desired Skills and Experience:
* Experience with Microsoft Windows, Office 365, and Google Workspace
* Experience with network administration and security
* Experience with IT project management
* Experience with training and development
