Manage the People Advisor who supports across the team with Employee Relations case work.
This is a full-time 12-month FTC role to cover for maternity leave within the team and will be based at our Chorley or Warrington office along with working from home on a hybrid basis. Travel will be required on an as necessary basis to our sites in Durham, Birmingham and Glasgow.
What will your day look like…
* Support accounts to solve people-related challenges and coach managers on best practices.
* Lead resource planning, identify skill gaps, and guide managers through the hiring process to attract and retain the right talent.
* Collaborate with L&D to assess workforce capabilities and develop learning and development plans for colleague growth.
* Utilise succession planning tools to identify talent, plan for key roles, and ensure robust development paths are in place.
* Develop and implement engagement plans to boost retention, monitor performance metrics, and provide actionable insights.
* Contribute feedback on HR policies, support strategic business projects and change initiatives, and perform other assigned duties.
About you…
To excel in this role, you'll need a strong grasp of people disciplines and employment legislation, along with a keen awareness of best practices and the ability to apply them across the business. Your experience should include coaching managers to drive performance and engagement, implementing effective talent and succession strategies, and fostering meaningful colleague relationships at all levels. Demonstrated analytical skills and business acumen are essential, enabling you to interpret data, develop practical solutions, and offer tailored, commercially-aware advice. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment, proactively adapting to change, seeking and acting on feedback, and collaborating closely with stakeholders and the wider People & Culture team to deliver impactful results.
