Are you an experienced Credit Controller looking for an exciting opportunity in Manchester or Exeter? Our Finance team are seeking a Credit Controller for a full-time, 14-month fixed-term contract. This role offers the chance to work within a dynamic team committed to excellence in finance management.
The Role
The Credit Controller will play a crucial role in managing outstanding debts and supporting financial operations.
* Proactively chase clients via phone and email to recover outstanding debts.
* Arrange and attend monthly meetings with partners to review accounts receivable and agree on actions.
* Maintain accurate records of collections processes and client interactions.
* Address and resolve client queries promptly.
* Assist with the credit control inbox and provide necessary reports.
* Participate in team meetings to review performance and suggest improvements.
* Support the quarterly debt provisioning process and escalate issues as needed.
* Develop relationships with key clients through regular communication.
The Candidate
The ideal Credit Controller will have the following qualifications and skills:
* 5+ years of experience in a similar credit control role.
* Previous experience in a law firm or professional services firm.
* Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
* A team player with a proactive attitude and attention to detail.
* Familiarity with Elite 3e practice management system is preferable.
* Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Word, is essential.
