We are working with a well-established client in the Banbury area who is seeking a motivated individual to join their maintenance team.The RoleYou'll play a key part in ensuring equipment availability across production processes, carrying out planned preventative maintenance and providing timely responses to breakdowns. This is a hands-on role where you'll be involved in fault finding, diagnostics, and implementing long-term solutions, all while maintaining the highest standards of health & safety and quality.Key Responsibilities Respond to breakdowns quickly and effectively, delivering both immediate and sustainable solutions.Carry out planned preventative maintenance across site equipment.Diagnose faults and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.Work closely with equipment users to understand issues and deliver practical solutions.Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities.Complete clear handover notes and reports.Undertake risk assessments and issue permits to work when required. About YouWe're looking for someone with: ONC (or equivalent) in mechanical or electrical engineering, plus apprenticeship completion.NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a secondary mechanical/electrical discipline.Experience in a maintenance department, ideally within food manufacturing or processing.Knowledge of PLCs (preferably Siemens).Strong understanding of health & safety legislation and procedures (COSHH, working at heights, confined spaces).Diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work under pressure.A team player attitude, effective communication skills, and computer literacy (Excel, maintenance software).
