Science Teacher - Specialist SEMH School (Small Classes)
Location: Tipton Area (Commutable from Dudley, Walsall & Wolverhampton)
Salary: £32,196 - £45,350, plus benefits
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Are you a Science Specialist who believes in the child before the curriculum? We are representing a "big-hearted" Independent Specialist School that supports children with complex Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Our students have often faced significant challenges; they don't just need a teacher - they need a mentor who can make Science real, relevant, and engaging.
The Role:
* Impactful Teaching: Delivery from Entry Level and Functional Skills through to GCSE.
* Small Group Focus: Work with very small class sizes, supported by specialist TAs, allowing for true adaptive teaching.
* Therapeutic Approach: Join a team that is trauma and attachment-informed, where staff well being and regular supervision are top priorities.
Why apply?
* Autonomy: Help shape the academic curriculum and bring your own passions to the extra-curricular offer.
* Support: Access to national subject champions and extensive professional qualification opportunities.
* Environment: A diverse, established, and supportive staff team that puts the child at the centre of every decision.
* Benefits: Competitive salary, staff laptop/mobile, and an enhanced occupational sickness scheme.
Requirements:
* Full UK QTS and a Science specialism.
* Proven experience with SEMH, Autism, or ADHD (Specialist or AP experience is highly desirable).
* A non-judgemental, flexible, and resilient approach to challenging behaviour.
