Bradford Early Intervention Psychosis (EIP) Service is a nationally recognised, high-performing service delivering specialist care across Bradford and Districts through locality-based teams. We are seeking an innovative, motivated, and enthusiastic Team Leader to join our EIP Assessment Team, providing leadership and clinical oversight in a dynamic and supportive environment.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a well-established team of experienced mental health professionals. The Assessment Team focuses on individuals presenting with a possible first episode psychosis or those identified as being at risk (At Risk Mental States). You will be responsible for:
• Leading and managing a multidisciplinary team
• Providing clinical supervision and operational oversight
• Networking with key stakeholders across Bradford, Aire and Wharfe
• Supporting service development and maintaining high standards of care

Main duties of the job

The team focus is on specialist assessment for individuals presenting with a possible first episode psychosis and those at risk of developing psychosis (At Risk Mental States). The successful applicant will provide leadership, managerial and supervisory responsibility. Given the nature of the work, the role involves close networking with key stakeholders across the Bradford, Aire and Wharfe localities.

Priority areas for this post will be agreed annually via the appraisal process.

Qualifications

Essential criteria

1. Professional qualification in mental health nursing, social work, occupational therapy or clinical psychology.

Desirable criteria

2. Degree level education
3. PSI qualification
4. AMHP qualification
5. ENB 603
6. CBT qualification
7. Dual diagnosis qualification

Experience

Essential criteria

8. Extensive experience in a senior care coordinator role with adults, young people and/or children with serious mental health problems.

Desirable criteria

9. Experience of a leadership role in Early intervention
10. Experience of working in a specialist psychosis service
11. Experience of providing training in PSI (etc.)

Knowledge

Essential criteria

12. Knowledge of psychosocial interventions (PSI) and experience of applying psychosocial principles in practice
13. Commitment to undertake PSI (or equivalent) training to degree/diploma standard.
14. Knowledge and understanding of the full range of professional groups in mental health
