Trainee Reuse Appliance Engineer - StourbridgeAs a Trainee Reuse Appliance Engineer at ENVA, based in Stourbridge, you will be working hands-on with white electrical goods such as washing machines, fridges, and ovens. You’ll play a key role in the refurbishment process, supporting the inspection and testing of domestic appliances for reuse and sale, while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. This role directly supports ENVA’s commitment to sustainability by helping reduce waste and promote recycling through the reuse of electrical items.Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose faults and assist in the repair of a variety of domestic white goods, including washing machines, refrigerators, and cookers.Safely manoeuvre heavy appliances using a sack truck or similar equipment.Carry out repairs and testing with a strong attention to detail to ensure appliances meet reuse standards.Use hand tools confidently and have a basic understanding of wiring and plug fitting.Demonstrate a genuine interest in repairing appliances to the correct standards and specifications.Follow instructions provided by the manager and contribute positively as part of a team.Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations, particularly in relation to appliance handling and electrical safety.Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve daily targets and maintain workflow efficiency.Ensure the workspace is kept clean, tidy, and free from hazards to support a safe working environment.This is not an exhaustive list.
