We are looking to appoint a reliable, trustworthy, and highly organised Cleaning Supervisor to join our team at a busy Junior School. This important role helps ensure our pupils, staff, and visitors enjoy a clean, safe, and welcoming environment every day.
This position carries keyholder responsibilities, so excellent timekeeping, honesty, and dependability are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervising the daily cleaning of classrooms, offices, corridors, and communal areas
* Leading and supporting the cleaning team to maintain high standards
* Monitoring cleaning quality and ensuring health & safety compliance
* Opening and locking the premises as a keyholder
* Reporting maintenance and safety issues promptly
* Managing cleaning materials and equipment
Essential Requirements:
* Previous cleaning and/or supervisory experience
* Excellent timekeeping and attendance record
* Trustworthy and reliable with the ability to work independently
* Good communication and organisational skills
* Ability to provide a full 5-year work history and residency record
* Right to work in the UK
Safeguarding & Compliance:
* An Enhanced DBS check is desirable
* A May Harris DBS clearance will be required before starting work on site
* Employment is subject to satisfactory DBS clearance
* Start date will be confirmed once all checks have been completed
Desirable:
* Experience working in a school or educational setting
