We seek to appoint an experienced and inspirational leader to work as a member of the Senior Leadership team. The role will fulfill the statutory role of the ALNCo and have a focus on alternative formal and non-formal education provision. The successful candidate must have proven leadership and management skills.
The successful candidate will be:
1. An experienced and inspirational leader
2. Characterised by a high level of drive, energy, enterprise and enthusiasm to raise aspirations and standards.
3. Able to demonstrate a proven track record in transforming learning and raising standards to improve students’ academic, emotional and social performance.
4. Highly capable, with exceptional interpersonal skills and a commitment to develop staff to ensure all students have consistently ‘outstanding’ learning experiences.
5. Adept at working with data management systems to deliver sustainable improvements.
6. Highly organised and able to work to statutory deadlines
7. Adept at maintaining relationships with parents and guardians to support pupils' academic, social and emotional needs
8. Experienced in leading a whole school improvement initiative that has had a positive impact on staff and students
9. Able to coordinate and facilitate training and events would be an advantage
10. Energetic, enthusiastic and resilient.
The successful candidate will be expected to take a positive and active role in professional development to ensure the role is carried out to the highest standards.
We are an ambitious secondary school, situated on the outskirts of Caerphilly (a short drive from Cardiff, Newport and the M4). Caerphilly train and bus station is located a 5 minute walk from the school.
