Contract Type: Temporary Hours: 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday (no weekends or bank holidays), between 9:00am 4:30pm Pay: £13.47 per hour (PAYE) DBS: Enhanced Check for Regulated Activity (Adults) required must be on the Update Service About the Role: Were looking for compassionate and energetic Support Workers to join the Adult Day Services South team at Solihull Council. You'll provide vital physical, emotional, and social support to adults attending the service helping them increase or maintain independence and social inclusion through structured activities and community engagement. This is a Monday to Friday position with no weekend or bank holiday work, offering consistent daytime hours ideal for work-life balance. Key Duties: Provide person-centred care, practical support, and emotional encouragement. Plan and deliver a range of meaningful activities tailored to individuals needs. Support individuals with personal care and use of mobility aids (including hoists). Maintain accurate daily records and support documentation. Contribute to risk assessments, reviews, and care planning. Collaborate closely with carers, health professionals, and community contacts. Essential Requirements: Manual Handling and Hoist training certificates must be provided. Experience supporting older adults or adults with learning disabilities, dementia, or physical disabilities. Good communication skills and sensitivity in supporting personal care needs. Physically able to carry out active support duties. Ability to keep accurate financial and care records. Willingness to work flexibly as part of a dedicated team. Desirable: QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to complete it within 12 months). Experience of Makaton or similar communication support methods. Experience planning social/leisure activities in a care setting.
