Are you a skilled and passionate Head Chef looking for a rewarding role in meaningful settings? We're recruiting experienced Head Chefs to lead kitchen teams across Care Homes and Schools in York, delivering nutritious, high-quality meals to both adults and children.
Location: York and surrounding areas
Hours: Full-time & part-time roles available
Salary: Competitive, based on experience + benefits
DBS Requirement:
This role requires a current Enhanced DBS certificate covering both Adults & Children
What You'll Be Doing:
* Leading kitchen operations in care homes and school environments
* Creating and delivering balanced, appealing menus tailored to dietary needs
* Ensuring full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and allergen regulations
* Managing stock, budgets, and supplier relationships
* Supporting a positive kitchen culture and mentoring junior staff
What We're Looking For:
* Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef
* Strong leadership and organisational skills
* Excellent knowledge of food safety and allergen management
* Flexibility to work across multiple sites in York
* Enhanced DBS for Adults & Children (essential)
